Abstract [eng] |
The object of the artistic research is the concept of constructiveness of musical texture in twenty-first century works of Lithuanian composers, which opens up the opportunity of a conceptual approach to the phenomenon of musical texture. Texture as the relief of a musical composition (the concept of Mārtiņš Viļums) embodies the composers' creativity and helps to reveal the meaning of the constructiveness of texture as a potential tool for creating communication of a composition. Unique strategies for managing musical texture can be observed in the works of Lithuanian composers such as Egidija Medekšaitė, Justina Repečkaitė, Justė Janulytė, Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, Rytis Mažulis, Ričardas Kabelis, and others, yet attention is rarely drawn to the principles of the visual and musical parameters of texture and their interrelationships, i.e., the creation of communication. The aim of the paper is to encourage the inclusion of the issue of constructiveness of musical texture in the context of musicological research through identifying cases of texture in Lithuanian composers' works and expanding the field of tools for the texture analysis. Research on the constructiveness of musical texture and the manifestations of the phenomenon in compositional processes stimulate the search for individual compositional decisions and reflect the contexts of the twenty-first century, where essential issues continue to include composer's search for uniqueness and authenticity. Artistic research, enriched by reflections on composers' creative practices, testifies to the diversity of the conceptions of constructiveness of musical texture and inspires further research in this area. |
