| Abstract [eng] |
This work examines literature on the principles of magnetic tape and the application of these principles to the development of electronic music compositional models. It discusses the familiar composing techniques made possible by magnetic tape, as well as new extended techniques that are based on the principles of magnetic tape. This work also explores the composer's relationship to technology, and the creative ideas that old technology may provide. Finally, it describes a process in which some of these techniques are used in a practical work - audiovisual dance performance "Erase for Prosperity?". |
