Abstract [eng] How to create a performance for an audience who rushes onto the stage, during the performance, walks on it, runs around, takes props away from the actors, talks, eats, cries or just sleeps? The question is whether there is a need for theatre at all for children under five? The answer is unequivocal – it is necessary. The need for theatre for very young children is linked to the developmental processes taking place at an early age. Early childhood is when the foundation of a person's personality is formed, and the experiences they have are important for the rest of their lives. Theatre, as a form of art that unites different expressions, is perfectly suited to the early development of the human personality. The aim of the research is to investigate the specific characteristics of producing performances for children under five and to propose a producing model that not only meets the children's perception and the parents' interests, but also develops the professional competences of the creative team. The artistic research demonstrated that the production of performances for children under five years of age does not follow a common canon and is difficult to frame in a single structure that is suitable for all expressions, although it has the same recurring elements, the most important of which is the respect for the child's freedom to choose. It is up to the artists to decide which guidelines to follow in their work and to boldly search for new, authentic solutions in their artistic and research practice that mark individual creative expression. In the case of this research, the model chosen was that of traditional theatre, where the segments of dramaturgy, scenography, music, and acting were used, however, they were applied in a non-traditional way. Specific expressive qualities were discovered. By listening sensitively to the addressee of one's work, one discovers specific expressive qualities, which give the performances a unique added value.
