Abstract [eng] The Master‘s thesis presents research and development of a GPS tracker using Selective Surface Activation Induced by Laser (SSAIL) technology. The thesis contains 3 main parts: research of the stability of chosen dielectrics at high frequencies, research and development of GPS tracker and GPS L1 patch antennas using SSAIL technology. The research of the stability of PTFE and PEEK substrates at high frequencies was performed. GPS tracker and GPS L1 antennas were developed and fabricated on PTFE and PEEK and results were summarized. The thesis consists of 7 parts: an introduction; a review of SSAIL technology, dielectric materials and main parameters of the GPS tracker; a development and research of GPS L1 planar antennas using SSAIL technology; a development of the GPS tracker; conclusions; references; appendices. The scope of thesis – 122 p. of text excluding appendices, 108 illustrations, 21 tables, 54 references, 9 appendices.
