Abstract [eng] The research object of the present Master's final thesis is the issue of macrointerval music. The author attempts to define the concept of a macrointerval in music composition. The concept is applied to musical structures and sound sequences where the structural element is larger than the full tone. The aim of the thesis is to examine the phenomenon of macrointerval composition of the late 20th to the early 21st century in different aspects. Chapter 1 of the thesis focuses on the conceptualisation of the macrointerval music phe-nomenon. Chapter 2 deals with the chacteristics of macro-interval systems in the works of con-temporary composers (the models of macrointerval systems, the characteristics of composing generated by them, and the structure). The Neo-Riemannian methodology of analysis has been applied. Paper work analyzes R. Mažulis' „The Möbius- Strip Canon” (1987) and “Pure Mind Clavier“ (1994), R. Kabelis' “Cell” (1992), R. Žiūkaitė's “Chromatography” (2013) and “Levitating Organza” (2014), S. Fómina \"Im halbdunkel\" (1991).
