Theoretical work examines the topic of graphic design trends (their genesis in the past century and in contemporary stylistics). Currently the expression of graphic design is changing very often. Some expressions become trends and remain relevant for a long time, while others disappear within a period of less than half a year. How new expressions evolve to be trends, why they become popular and why others disappear quickly are the main questions forming this work. Object of this paper - young designers are not able to follow the constantly evolving variations of the most recent graphic design trends and unconsciously combine different stylistics to create kitsch, which eliminates creativity and author’s stylistics. The goal of the paper is to create a methodology for evaluating graphic design news and apply it in the practical part of this work. Practical part - based on the news of graphic design trends, to create a representative magazine \"DAY\". |
