Abstract [eng] Theme of the research work: W. A. Mozart opera “Idomeneo“: preparation and performance of the Ilia‘s role. The purpose of the research work: thoroughly analyze Ilia’s role, preparation and performance issues. Relevance of the topic: the theme of this topic is relevant to singers who are preparing to create the Ilia’s role in W. A. Mozart opera “Idomeneo”. The problematic issue: what challenges the singer faces when preparing Ilia’s role from W. A. Mozart opera Idomeneo? Tasks: discuss the vocal style of W. A. Mozart’s operas; review the Mozart opera Idomeneo; to analyze the role of Ilia; find out the peculiarities of preparing and performing the role of Ilia; examine the most significant interpretations of Ilia’s role. Research methods: historical method; descriptive method; the comparative method; special literature studies; clavier examination; video and audio analysis; interview. The first chapter was based on Lithuanian, English, German, French, Spanish, Latin literature, online sources, dictionaries, encyclopaedias. Also used were audio and video recordings, Idomeneo clavier, libretto, interview material (the names of all authors are specified in the supplements). The work discusses the vocal style of W. A. Mozart's operas, their peculiarities and the opera Idomeneo. After reviewing the W. A. Mozart's operas, the author has developed an approach what is the specificity of Mozart's operas. Rhythmic and interval changes, verbal and musical expressions (pianissimo, fortissimo, crescendo, diminuendo, sforzando), mezza voce, messa di voce, sotto voce technique, legato, staccato - there are elements typical of W. A. Mozart's music. The second chapter analyzes the role of Ilia, its preparation and performance. Either, reviews the sides of vocal and dramaturgy, examines the most prominent, famous performers of Ilia's role of these days. During the research work, it was discovered that the beginner singer would't be able to perform Ilias role because of a lack of technique. Guided by the dramatic character analysis, guidelines have been developed that can be used to see what changes and problems arise in creating the role of Ilia. The analysis of the different interpretations of the role of Ilia has led to the conclusion that the uniqueness of this role is that the lyrical voice has to have dramatic colors. In W. A. Mozart‘s opera there are a lot of guidelines that must be fulfilled, but the performer must not lose the skills and experience he has.
