The final Masters Thesis aims to determine the adaptation of roundabouts in Vilnius City to people with visual impairments. The Thesis analyses the junction elements related to pedestrian traffic and other factors that affect pedestrian traffic. The final work aims to investigate the adaptation of roundabouts located in Vilnius municipality to the visually impaired and blind and to make recommendations for improvement. The research is based on practise in other countries, by which visual investigations and calculations of factors determining pedestrian traffic were performed. At the end of the final work, conclusions and recommendations for improving the adaptation of the roundabouts are presented. |
