Film director Werner Herzog is a cult personality in the context of documentary and feature film. His cinematic aesthetics and authentic approach to the creative process have become a kind of school and an example for film professionals. Lithuania is no exception - the work of this director influenced not only the Lithuanian film authors of the middle-generation, but also their students. Nevertheless, W.Herzog's work has been very little analyzed in Lithuania and there is almost no literature about him in Lithuanian language. For this reason this master work examines the features of Herzog's documentary film. It’s main goal is to design a creative system for Herzog's work with reality and its interpretation. |
