Assoc. Prof. Dr. Šarūnas Skuodis, the director of Civil Engineering Research Center at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) points out that while searching for the solutions of how to strengthen the mountain slopes it was decided to combine modern technologies and traditional ones, i.e. information search, analysis of historical sources and archeological research reports, other structural research or geological investigation reports. The speaker is sure that Gediminas‘ Hill will undoubtedly be saved for future generations. Moreover, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Šarūnas Skuodis has reminded that quite a few of VILNIUS TECH community generations have been involved in the work on important historical objects of the country. |
