In the master's thesis, robotic instruments and electromagnetic applications are examined in contemporary music. Various uses of selenoids and servomotors in the field of drum machines, percussion, classical instruments, and real-time performances are studied, so that composers, performers, and students can get acquainted with electromagnetic creative systems, adapt them and use them on their own. The motivation of production, the acquisition that needs to be designed is also discussed in the thesis. Practical implementation of the MIDI-controlled electromagnets as percussion system is documented and discussed throughout the work. |
